Hover Junkers

best-vr-games

This game features some of the most fun controls available for VR. It allows you to fly a ship based on the size of your room that you can build to defend yourself from other players who will shoot at you. The futuristic look and the fast, fun gameplay will have you ducking and dodging all around your living room. Unfortunately, this one is only out for HTC Vive at the moment.

Fantastic Contraption

Fantastic Contraption was repurposed from the 2008 game of the same name. Originally created for mobile devices, this game easily transitioned to VR, which feels like the right fit. The goal is to build weird and amazing contraptions that help you solve puzzles. The simple mechanics of this game allow you to solve difficult problems while immersed in a vivid and cartoony world.

Audioshield

Did you rock out to guitar hero? Dance around to DDR? Then you'll love Audioshield. It incorporates exercise and gaming to achieve a similar playstyle. The goal is to hit glowing orbs that fly at your face, usually to the beat of music.

The Gallery: Call of the Starseed

If you're looking for an immersive world where you can get lost, Starseed is your game. Broken into episodes, this game brings you through a narrative where you search for your lost sister. Exploring various environments and picking up objects to find clues couldn't be more fun, especially with the dark 80s fantasy film theme.

Tilt Brush

Ever wanted to paint in 3d like Harold with his Purple Crayon? Now you can! Tilt brush allows you to create 3D illustrations with the Vive controllers. Though not quite a "game" per se, this one will keep you entertained for hours while you make beautiful creations out of light.

The Climb

We're afraid of heights, and The Climb definitely will make your stomach drop. Thrillseekers, this is your game. The hyper-realistic and beautiful environment combined with the terrifying feeling that you will fall make this a game you should not miss. Face your fears and try out The Climb on the Oculus Rift.

Chronos

For RPG lovers who want to save their homeland from evil forces, Chronos will fulfill your VR dreams. A series of puzzles, monsters, and labrynths will have you engaged for hours. The beautiful world will pull you in.

Lucky's Tail

Platformers may seem like a strange type of game to bring into VR, but Lucky's Tail does it flawlessly. You will battle bosses, race through forests, dodge swamps, and even play mini-games. The cartoony look of this game makes it perfect for kids and adults alike.

Dragon Front

Ever wanted to play a game of chess like Harry and Ron in Harry Potter? Dragon Front is as close as you'll get right now. Immersed in the Virtual Reality world, you can play this traditional card collecting game in first person. Watch your cards come to life and fight for your honor.

EVE: Valkyrie

EVE Online is one of the most interesting games that has it's own self-sufficient economy purely run by players. It can be a bit of a grind, but this VR counter part solves that problem. You play as a rookie who has dogfights in space and can explore the world of EVE in first person. get-started-with-vr
